The C Series thermal protectors are highly efficient miniaturised bimetal switches, designed to protect electrical equipment (electric motors, transformers, electronic boards, etc.) against abnormal temperature rises. The C series (C1, C4, C8), thanks to the combination of the materials used for the contacts with the type of bimetal chosen, is suitable for any application where temperature control is required.

The bimetal disc used for the C1 and C8 models is sensitive to current overloads and reacts extremely quickly, while the C4 model has low current sensitivity.

MAGNETIC AND MECHANICAL PROTECTION  The C-Series housing is made of steel-nickel to ensure resistance to mechanical pressure in excess of 600 N. The housing also allows the thermostat to be insensitive to magnetic fields, which prevents spark deflection.

TERMINALS  The terminals, whose dimensions (cross-section and length) do not directly affect those of the thermostat, are positioned on the front side to prevent damage during the forming of the header. The terminals can be supplied to customer specification.

CONSTANT CONTACT RESISTANCE  The resistance of the contacts is guaranteed by the selection of materials used and the high clamping pressure. The behaviour of the C series is constant over time.

IMMEDIACY OF SHUT-DOWN  Switching times are particularly short due to the high sensitivity of the bimetal.

CAVETTI  Cables are supplied according to customer specification.

PATENTED DESIGN

AUTOMATIC PRODUCTION  The production of thermostats is fully automated and is inspected at 100%.

HOMOLOGATIONS  C series thermostats are VDE, UL and CQC approved

THERMAL RESPONSE  The thermal characteristics of the C series are further enhanced by the type of current-sensitive bimetal that is used to provide even greater protection against current surges.

PIN VERSIONS  For applications on electronic boards, protectors are made with a metal housing coated with a plastic film and PIN terminals are used for the electrical connection.
